TASCH - I Miss You

Updated: Jun 11

Written by TASCH, Produced by Rahul Prasad

Like sparkling ocean waves in some sort of blissful dream sequence, this track gently washes over you with a sense of warmth, and a welcoming embrace. Though I would not date this particular song by singer songwriter, TASCH, you can definitely feel the 80's synth-pop esthetic. If I did have to put it into a genre it would be just that, synth-pop, but TASCH delivers it is such a unique yet extremely authentic way, that one can not help but take notice of the excellence by which the production is executed.

The song boarders on cinematic, and I almost feel as if I am about to embark on some kind of epic quest through a whimsical fantasy world contained within my sub-conscious. Even the lyric "I miss you," to me, almost implies that I am saying farewell to the one I love as I embark on a deep personal journey.

Now mind you the lyrics do not imply any of what I said at all, and hint more to the person in the song trying not to think about what their former lover is presently doing, but just wanting to simply be able to miss them, to just be able to experience the emotion with out any deeper analysis of why, and that loving someone so deeply can be extremely painful, and can leave a person vulnerable. Which, if my interpretation is correct, is a very simplistically beautiful thing, and leaves enough ambiguity for the listener to easily relate, and allow themselves to be placed in the shoes of the songwriter. I also feel like the warm and welcoming sound of the music being somewhat in opposition of the lyricism create an excellent contrast of emotion, as if the song is trying to tell you, "It's okay to feel this way."

I would usually spend a bit of time talking about production points, but for me the production of this song speaks for itself, and hits the mark perfectly. There is nothing more I could possibly want or desire from this song, as it leaves me very sonically, and emotionally satisfied. Simply put, are true artistic feat.
